Sapphires, a brilliant alternative to diamonds
All our Sapphires are hand selected for their color & saturation, but we also look at the cut and facet placement... We don't know about you, but we love stones that sparkle!
Alongside Ruby's and Emeralds, Sapphire's are one of the big three of colored gemstones used in jewellery. Designated as the September birthstone, they're durable and very romantic!

In addition to the traditional dark blue, Fancy Sapphires are available in a rainbow assortment of colors from vivid to soft pinks and gorgeous greens, teals and peacock blues. In general, the more intense and uniform the color, the more valuable the stone. Sapphires used in commercial jewellery are generally heat treated to enhance and even out their colour. We specialize is untreated Sapphires, ensuring every stone is unique!
Graded a 9 on the Mohs Hardness scale (diamonds are a 10), Sapphires are super durable and can be worn everyday making them a perfect coloured gemstone for engagement rings.
When choosing a Sapphire we suggest looking for stones without 'windows'. A 'window' is an industry term referring to a dead spot or transparent area in the stone that occurs when a stone is poorly cut, causing light to pass through the gemstone instead of being reflected back.
